Estella is starting to get frustrated because she is starting catch on that she is becoming Miss Havishams puppet. After this point she really does not want to deal with Miss Havisham anymore. She has really just got sick even thinking about Miss Havisham, and how she has turned her back on Estella. Estella decides to tell Miss Havisham to back off, and that she does not ever want to talk to her again. I think that from now Estella wants to go off and find another man that she will like to be with, and marry him. After this i believe Pip will become very angry and want to talk to Estella about what they had and what she did to their relationship.

Meaning of name Jaggers

I think that Dickens meant the name Jaggers to sound mean, and like a tough guy. The name sounds like it is sharp and rough, and that is what i think the identity of this character can be explained as. As explained in the book Jaggers deals with the very dangerous criminals, because he is the tough guy that can take care of them. So the main reason of this name is to give the reader not only a stronger imagination about Jaggers, but to show that people should be scared of him."He seemed to bully his sandwich as he ate" (167, ch. 20), as said by pip most people are even scared of Jaggers when he eats a sandwich. This quote symbolizes that lawyers as also very hungry for power all the time, meaning that they need to control everything they are a part of.

Mrs. Joe Analysis

Mrs. Joe can control Joe and Pip as she would wish, she not only uses her power but she uses her words. As it shows in the text that she controls him by taking him by the beard and putting him against the wall. She wants Joe and Pip to know that he should not mess with her, and whatever she wants should be done. Although Joe is a decent sized man she is still able to take him down by showing her power. Joe and Pip seemed to be scared by her actions, but the townspeople seem to give her a good reputations. Mrs. Joe has now gained the reputation from everyone to not mess with her at anytime. Whenever Joe or Pip are doing something wrong she attacks them mentally and it hurts them. Joe and Pip are usually innocent kids but she decides to take them down mentally and physically.
